The intermediate course to the Nalaikha Steppe had a canter section of over 10km(30minutes) in total, which was far more than I could ride. I was amazed at the toughness of Mongolian horses and nomadic people. When ridden alone, it neighs, and though its gallop isn't particularly fast, a gallop lasting over three minutes will leave the rider breathless. Since the two-point forward position is inadequate, mastering the standing position is essential.
